1. How do I connect to the Electronic Journals and Online Databases from off-campus?
2. I typed in "www.databasename.com", but can't access
the database. What did I do wrong?

For instructions click on "Access From Home Instructions".
You can access licensed electronic databases from off-campus only through the Lehman College Library Web site via links on the "Electronic Databases" page.
Many Lehman College students are able to access our electronic resources from their offices through a local area network. However, some networks' firewalls may block the ports used by the Library proxy server.Restart your computer and try again. If a problem persists contact your network administrator.
When our "Database by Titles" list indicates that a password needed, call Reference Desk at 718-960-8580 in order to obtain this information.
When our "Database by Titles" list doesn't indicate that a password needed, make sure that you access a database through Lehman Library Website. If the problem persists restart your computer and try again.
If you have difficulties accessing a database through Lehman Library Web site, first, restart your computer. If you still have a message that a database cannot be found, call the Reference Desk at 718-960-8580 or e-mail galina.letnikova@lehman.cuny.edu.
1. Make sure that you are trying to access an e-journal through Lehman College Website.
2. Make sure that Lehman College has a "full-text" subscription to this e-journal. You may find this information on "Electronic Journals by Titles" list.
I. Check at the Circulation Desk to insure your ID is active.

3. Do not use spaces, dashes or any punctuation when typing in your library number.
Anyone can use CUNY+ Online Catalog.
Databases listed on "E-Journals and Reference Databases" page are available to all CUNY users.
However, some electronic resources listed on a particular college Web site may be restricted to this college users.
