Fortune 500
The Fortune magazine list of the 500 largest corporations in the United States. Includes various rankings for the 500 and the Fortune 1000.

Fortune Global 500
Fortune magazines annual list of the 500 largest companies in the world. Includes various ranking of the companies as well as a spreadsheet file of the Global 500 that can be downloaded.

Hoover's Online
Hoover's Online provides Company Capsules for about 12,000 public companies without charge. These Company Capsules include: Address; Phone number; Link to the company website; Description of what the company does; Competitors; Financial data; Key people in the company; SEC filings; Stock quotes and historical data and links to stories about he company. With a paid subscription the user has access to more detailed company information and financial data. Users can also screen stocks that meet any of 20 criteria.

IdeaList
A project of the Contact Center Network. Information about nonprofit organizations with a searchable directory of over 9000 organizations worldwide. This site is provided by Action without Borders.

Deloitte and Touche list of the fastest growing companies.

FindLaw is the highest-trafficked legal Web site, providing the most comprehensive set of legal resources on the Internet for legal professionals, businesses, students and individuals. These resources include Web search utilities, cases and codes, legal news, an online career center, and community-oriented tools, such as a secure document management utility, mailing lists, message boards and free e-mail.

The Law and Government Portal. This site provides many links to government and legal information around the world.

Legal Information Institute
The Legal Information Institute is a research activity of the Cornell Law School and it offers the Legal Information Institute's collection of recent and historic Supreme Court decisions, its hypertext versions of the full U.S. Code, U.S. Constitution, Federal Rules of Evidence and Civil Procedure, recent opinions of the New York Court of Appeals and commentary on them.

NAIC Online
National Association of Investors Corporation, a non-profit organization provides assistance to individual investors and investment clubs. The web site provides information for both individuals and clubs on investment strategies and practices.

Standard & Poor's Indexes
Information from Standard and Poor's on their indexes. Includes descriptions of the indexes, methodology for creating the index, lists of constituent companies and data.

Stock Markets of the World
Links to international stock exchanges.

Wall Street Research Net
Provides company profiles, stock quotes, industry comparisons, and news. Also compiles links to online resources for each company, such as SEC filings, analysts' reports, press releases, etc.

Provides a variety of reports on the U.S. economy and international trade. Includes articles and data from the Survey of Current Business and the National Income and Product Accounts (NIPA) tables.

Econlib
The Library of Economics and Liberty. Provides authoritative editions of classic economic texts and articles, links to commonly used economics databases and bibliographies and reading lists on various topics in economics.

Economic Policy Institute
A nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank publishes briefs, paper, and policy statements on its web site.

Economic Time Series
Economic and financial time series data. Includes standard economic series as well as some calculated series such as total returns on the S&P 500 and state and MSA level employment, unemployment and labor force data.

Information Economy
The Economics of the Internet, Information Goods, Intellectual Property and Related Issues. Includes links to a variety of resources ranging from electronic commerce and electronic publishing to intellectual property and security, privacy and encryption.

National Bureau of Economic Research
The National Bureau of Economic Research is a non-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to promote greater understanding of how the economy works. The site has working papers relating to their mission, as well as a search engine to find them.

You may search EDGAR Database by company name.

Search EDGAR by type of filing or date.

Online Company Annual Reports
You may search for hundreds of U.S. public companies annual reports up to the latest three years.

10K Wizard
Provides access to SEC EDGAR data with some advanced search features. Allows search by keyword in the text of the filing, industry grouping or SIC code. Also allows search by form, form type and date. Site requires subscription, but full-time students and teachers can get a free guest pass.

Edgar Online
This is a commercial site that allows free searching of all filings submitted to The Securities and Exchange Commission. The user can search by: Company Name or Ticker Symbol; Industry or Sector Name; Type of Filing; or People listed or mentioned in the filing.

FreeEdgar
FreeEdgar is a service that allows users to easily search and download corporate annual reports, 10Ks and other SEC EDGAR filings. It includes utilities to download financial data either as text or as Excel spreadsheets, and an add-in utility to connect and download the data directly from Excel.
