Source for authoritative, worldwide information about Central and South America, Mexico, the Caribbean basin, the United States-Mexico border region, and Hispanics in the United States. Contains complete bibliographic citations to articles, book reviews, documents, original literary works, and other materials appearing in more than 500 key social science and humanities journals published throughout the world. Many of the citations are linked to full text.

Indexes and abstracts articles from 400 English-language periodicals in the fields of archaeology and classical studies, art, dance, drama, film, folklore, gender studies, history, journalism and communications, music and performing arts, philosophy, religion and theology.

The Literature Resource Center provides researchers access to biographical, bibliographical and contextual information from the Contemporary Authors, Dictionary of Literary Biography, Contemporary Literacy Criticism Select, and the MLA International Bibliography databases. Also available are more than 285,000 full-text journal articles, 38,000 critical essays, 122,000 author biographies, and the Merriam-Webster's Encyclopedia of Literature.
