REFERENCE AREA
REFERENCE DESK
The Reference Desk is located on the main floor of the Library in front of the clock. Reference librarians help answer questions, point user in the right direction, help select books, or provide computer assistance.
The Reference Collection, located behind the Reference Desk, contains books and materials designed for immediate reference and other heavily used materials. A current valid student ID must be presented to the librarian at the Reference Desk to receive this material. Your ID will be returned when the material is given back to the desk.

PRINT HELP DESK
Help with printers, wireless printing, and computers in the Reference area is available at the Print Help Desk, located in front of the Quick Reference shelves at the south end of the Reference area.

REFERENCE BOOKS
Reference books provide concise information, such as biographies, literary criticism, definitions, statistics, maps, or a description of important facts and events. This kind of information is typically found in books such as encyclopedias, almanacs, dictionaries, yearbooks, handbooks, directories, maps, atlases and gazetteers.
The general Reference collection is located in the stacks on the main floor, adjacent to the Reference Desk. The material must be used onsite only.
Another area that contains reference material is the Education Library, on the third floor.

QUICK REFERENCE SECTION
A Quick Reference section containing dictionaries, career materials, Hot Topics books, and heavily used reference books is located in the first section of the Reference stacks. Some of these resources are available for seven day loan.
