Biography Maria Castro was born and raised in Puebla, Mexico. She received her Bachelors degree in Multilingual Journalism from Lehman College of the City University of New York in June 2003 and a Masters degree in Journalism from Columbia University in May 2006. Her goal as a journalist is to reach out to people, raise awareness and educate communities about issues that affect their quality of life. Maria is the webmaster, newsletter lay-out designer and writer for the International Health Awareness Network, a non governmental agency dedicated to promote health and education for women and children around the world. She is also an administrative assistant to the Provost of Lehman College. In her spare time, Maria enjoys jogging, swimming, learning other languages, eating international food, dancing and Yankee games. |
