WHAT IS A PIN?
In order to ensure the security of academic information when using the web registration, all students must use their social security (or assigned student) number along with a Personal Identification Number (PIN).
What is a PIN?
A PIN is a 6 digit number used to access information in the registration systems. It is like a password that allows entry to the system.
How do I assign myself a PIN?
Initially, your PIN is assigned by the College; it is the first 6 digits of your social security (or assigned student) number.
WEB REGISTRATION allows you to proceed to log in with your original PIN number. However, for the HIGHEST security, you should CHANGE your PIN number once logged-in by using the 'Change Pin' Option on the left menu of the screen:
|
1. Click your mouse on the 'Change Pin' menu option.
|
|
2. Enter your current PIN. Type in a new 6 digit PIN number that is DIFFERENT from your current PIN. Use 6 digits only, no characters. Type them again to confirm, and then click the 'SUBMIT' button.
|
|
REMEMBER YOUR NEW PIN NUMBER!
What happens if I forget my PIN?
You must go to the Registrar’s Offices in Shuster Hall 175 or 182, to have an existing PIN deleted and a new one assigned. This process must be done in person, during regular business hours and you must present valid photo ID such as a Lehman College ID card or driver's license.
