Interdisciplinary Faculty Development

Arts & Humanities Professional Development Workshops

The School of Arts & Humanities offers monthly professional development workshops for faculty that engage questions of academic integrity, assessment, and best practices across the disciplines. Each workshop is team-led by experienced faculty who present their work and questions for lunchtime discussions. For more info, please click here.

Writing Across the Curriculum Workshops

The Writing Across the Curriculum program offers a variety of workshops and institutes focused on special topics. In these workshops, faculty from multiple disciplines learn about effective writing and reading strategies, share and revise assignments, and develop new approaches to improve student writing in their classes. Quantitative Reasoning Across the Disciplines Workshop Series

In this workshop, faculty will work collaboratively to design their courses in ways that infuse QR and develop tools for assessing the effectiveness of their efforts. Participants will also share their experiences in applying the various strategies for teaching QR learned in the workshop. This is our second annual QR workshop and it is open to faculty who have not previously participated in this workshop series.

For more information please contact QR Workshop Organizers, Esther Wilder (x1128) and Dene Hurley (x 8389).
