Player of The Week - Imbert Prosper, Kingsborough C.C. So., 6'2", G / F, Brooklyn, NY
The sophomore swingman out of St. Thomas,
US Virgin Islands (Ivana Eudora HS)
gets the nod for player of the week after a
1-1 week for Kingsborough. Prosper led
CUNY's top team to a overtime win over
TCI with 25 points, 15 rebounds, 7 steals
and 3 assists while shooting 9 of 12 from
the floor. On the season he is averaging
12.8 points and 3.0 assists and is second
in CUNY with a 54% field goal percentage.
Rookie of The Week - Teron Simpson, Queensborough C.C. Fr., 5'10" G, Queens, NY
Simpson led the Tigers to a 1-0 week with
a convincing victory over Dutchess. The
5'10 point guard scored 17 points on 6 of
7 shooting from the floor while dishing
out 10 assists. The Cardozo High School
graduate was a mid -season additon and
is already 5th in Region XV with 6.6 apg.
Simpson's play at point has led led to a
big turnaournd for QCC as they have won
5 of their last 7 games.
