The sophomore shooting guard out of
Milford Academy earns the first weekly
honor after leading his Wave to six consecutive
wins. Jones has lit up KCC's
opponents at a 18.2 ppg clip while shooting
47% from beyond the 3-point arc. He
has also excelled at the charity stripe
(87%) while leading KCC to a 2-0 CUNY
mark with wins over Queensborough and
BMCC.
Rookie of The Week - Troy Frierson, Bronx Fr., 6'2" G, Jersey City, NJ
In his first game for the Broncos Frierson
has made quite an impression. The fresh-man
guard accounted for 26 points on 10
of 17 shooting that included six three-pointers
made out of 11 attempts. The
Jersey City native (James Ferris HS) shot
59% from the floor while adding 5 assists
and 3 rebounds in their lone game last
week.
