Player Of The Week

RICARDO REIMERS, Hunter Jr. / G / 6’ / Queens Village, NY
The former All-Star from Kingsborough Community College has excelled with the Hawks as well this season. In a 1-1 conference week Reimers (Martin Van Buren HS) averaged 23.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.7 assists while hitting 58% of his shots. In the win over John Jay the junior guard notched a season high 32 points on 13 of 21 shooting. No surprise there as he has shot over 50% for the season and leads Hunter with 16.2 points per game.

Rookie Of The Week

SHACUN MALAVE, City Tech Fr. / C / 6'7" / Bronx, NY
The City Tech rookie is just getting better in picking up his fifth straight Rookie of the Week honor. In a 2-1 week for the Yellow Jackets, the Bronx resident (DeWitt Clinton HS) averaged 25.7 points, 15.7 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 2.3 steals while shooting 53% from the floor and 79% from the charity stripe.
