Player Of The Week

JOHN SMITH, STATEN ISLAND So. / C / 6’8” / Queens, NY The sophomore center had a breakout week for the Dolphins as they won their fourth straight game last week. Smith (Bayside HS / Queens, NY) averaged 23.5 points, 19.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals while shooting 66% from the field (21 of 32). He notched career highs of 35 points and 23 boards in the win over St. Joseph’s, his third straight double-double. His 23 rebounds were the third highest single game total ever by a CSI player.

Rookie Of The Week

ABDOU NDOYE, CCNY Fr. / G/F / 6’3” / Houston, Texas The rookie small forward out of Houston, Texas (Stratford HS) had another nice week for the Beavers despite an 0-2 week. Ndoye averaged 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 46% from the floor. The versatile newcomer also hit on 5 of 10 threepoint attempts. He is third on the CCNY team with 10.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
