Female Track Athlete of The Week - JAMILLA DICK, Medgar Evers Sr., Brooklyn, NY


The senior sprinter is off to a blazing start, qualifying automatically for the ECAC Championships in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 12.53 last Saturday in the Battleground Relays at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The 2000 All-American in the previous event, also ran the anchor leg of the Cougars' 4x100 Meter Relay team (50.01) that also qualified for ECAC's.
 

Female Field Athlete of The Week - MIRIAMA DAVIES, York So., Staten Island, NY

A Curtis High School alum, Davies won the Shot Put (33'2 3/4") and placed second in the High Jump (4'6") at the Queensborough Community College Relays last week. She also ran in two relays for the Cardinals in the inaugural meet held on march 22nd. The team did not run this past week.

Male Track Athlete of The Week - JUSTIN NAWANGAWA, CCNY So., Brooklyn, NY

A sophomore formerly of Frederick Douglass Academy, Nawangawa qualified for the ECAC Championship in the 100 Meter Dash with a mark of 11.15 seconds, over the weekend at the Western Connecticut State University Invitational in Danbury, CT. He then ran a leg of the Beavers 4x100 Meter Relay team (44.84) that qualified as well. After only two weeks of the season, the Brooklynite also boasts the top CUNYAC time in the 200 Meter Dash (22.96).
 

Male Field Athlete of The Week - RAYMION RICHARDS, Medgar Evers So., Brooklyn, NY

In his second season on the Cougars' squad, Richards is starting to excel. In his only event at the Battleground Relays at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, he qualified for the ECAC's with a Long Jump of 6.55 Meters.
