Female runner of the week
Kenya Benjamin, York, FR., A. Martin, Richmond Hill, NY
After taking the week off last week, Benjamin,
a freshman from August Martin
High School, scored her personal best at
Van Cortlandt Park on Sunday with a
20:48. In breaking 21 minutes for the first
time this season, the Queens resident
won her third VCP meet of the season.

 Omri Holzman, Hunter, Fr. Ironi Daled, Tel-Aviv, Israel
On the eve of the of CUNY Championships,
Holzman continues to set new
marks, running a 28:17.73 at DeSales in
Pennsylvania on Saturday. He followed
that effort with a 29:34 at Van Cortlandt on
Sunday in the Medgar Evers Invitational,
his second straight victory on the home
course.
