Player of The Week

Peter StrachnyiPeter Strachnyi,Staten Island Fr. / 5'11 / For. / New York, NY

The freshman forward got the Dolphins rolling against Centenary in a non-conference matchup. Strachnyi, a 5'11 forward out of Environmental Studies High School was unstoppable in netting a hat trick for CSI. He headed in his first collegiate goal in the 29th minute, then used a solo dribbling effort to net his second goal while pouncing on a rebound to finalize the scoring and earn Player of the Week honors.

The Beavers have added some quality youth to their championship drive as freshman forward Douey Wright will attest. The Mt. Vernon resident (Cornwall HS) helped CCNY got off to a 2-1 start including their 8-0 drubibng of SUNY-Maritime. Wright scored two first-half goals and assisted on two others in the win while also netting two goals in the season-opening victory over Polytechnic. He leads CCNY with 10 points from three games.
