Player of The Week

Cyrus

ROGER CYRUS, CCNY Sr. / 6'2 / GK / Brooklyn, NY

The senior netminder has blanked the opposition in four of the teams' first five games of the year, including the last three. Cyrus (Boys & Girls HS), who also excels for the men's volleyball team, made 12 saves on the week in a win over Hunter and an overtime tie against Medgar Evers. Cyrus made several outstanding saves versus Evers to preserve the tie for the Beavers. He is a two-time CUNY All-Star.

Rookie of The Week

ADEMILOLA OGUNMOKUN, Brooklyn Fr. / 5'7 / FOR. / Brooklyn, NY

Despite dropping the opening two games of the year, the Bridges have found a very bright spot in freshman forward Ademilola Ogunmokun. Ogunmokun (Victory Grammar / Lagos, Nigeria) tallied all three goals for Brooklyn in narrow losses to City Tech and John Jay. Often doubled, the speedy forward managed to bring the Bridges back into the game on a breakaway feed from Alex Shafiro and nearly equalized in the closing minutes.
