Player of The Week

Richard Franco Richard Franco, City Tech, Fr. F, Mount Vernon, NY

The Yellow Jackets are making their presence felt this season and they have Richard Franco to thank for their latest triumph. The rookie forward out of Mt. Vernon High School brought City Tech back to life after they fell behind 3-0 in the opening 18 minutes. Franco got one back in the 30th minute and then proceeded to score three more times in the second half to move City Tech into 3rd place. Franco leads the team with five goals on the year.

Rookie of The Week

Noel Watson, Medgar Evers Fr. MF, Brooklyn, NY

The Cougars have won three straight games, including two conference games to keep themselves in the hunt for the CUNY title. Watson, a rookie midfielder out of Excelsior High School has provided a spark in the two games last week with one goal and five assists. He recorded three assists in the 7-0 win over Baruch and scored his third goal of the year while getting two assists versus Pratt. He leads the Cougars with 14 points and the conference with eight assists on the year.
