Player of The Week

Ernard Pellumbi, CCNY, Fr. F, Bronx, NY

The Beavers moved one step closer to the school's second CUNYAC regular season title in three seasons on Saturday by beating City Tech 1-0. After a scoreless game at the end of regulation, the freshman from John F. Kennedy HS scored the golden goal ten seconds prior to the end of the first 15-minute overtime period with a blast from 18 yards out in a driving rain storm. It was Pellumbi's seventh goal of the season in ten games for CCNY.

Rookie of The Week

Peter Strachnyi, Staten Island, Fr. F, New York, NY

Just like last season, the Dolphins are making a late run in the conference race with two six goal performances last week to move to 3-1 in CUNY action. Strachnyi, a freshman from Manhattan (Environmental Studies HS) had a goal in CSI's 6-2 win over John Jay and another in their 6-0 shutout over Baruch. On the year, he leads the team with five tallies and two assists for 12 points.
