Player of The Week

Roger Cyrus, CCNY, Sr. / GK / Brooklyn, NY

A two-time CUNYAC all-star, Cyrus had two shutouts last week to help the Beavers capture the team's second regular season title in three seasons. The Boys & Girls HS alum now has seven shutouts on the season, including five in conference play. Actually, the senior keeper has only yielded two goals in seven CUNY games to date. He also scored his first career goal in the second half of their 6-0 win against Baruch.

Rookie of The Week

Richard Franco, City Tech, Fr. / F / Mount Vernon, NY

In the Yellow Jackets only game last week at Staten Island, Franco scored in the 41st minute on a header from Jean-Yves Morand's corner kick to take a 1-0 lead. After the Dolphins tied up the contest, Franco returned Morand's favor, who lined the ball into the back of the net to give City Tech the victory. On the season, the rookie forward (Mount Vernon HS) has six goals and one assist in five games.
