Player of The Week
 Jackie Albuja, John Jay Jr. / #2 flight / Queens, NY
The junior #2 flight player had a fine week within the conference as she fought her way to
a 3-0 mark. Albuja (Aldine HS) paced her team to wins over City Tech and Lehman, earning
a tough 6-4,7-5 decision over Lehman's Micaela Taibing. While her team lost to Brooklyn,
Albuja fought her way to another victory with a 7-5,4-6,6-2 over Renelle Pointdujour. She
also compiled a 2-0 mark in doubles play for a perfect 5-0 record on the week.

Rookie of The Week
Diana Olaya, Lehman Sr. / #1 flight / Brooklyn, NY
The multi-talented point guard on the school's basketball team is showing her
versatility on the tennis courts as well, going 2-0 in her collegiate debut week.
The 5'5 Olaya (F.D. Roosevelt HS) battled back to notch an opening day win over
Liesel-Ann Amow of John Jay 5-7,6-2,7-5 and followed it up with a 6-3,6-3 victory
over Crista Foster of CCNY. Olaya also
sported a 1-1 doubles record.
