Player of The Week

GarciaMadelayne Garcia, Lehman Sr. / OH / New York, NY

Paced by Garcia's all-around play the Lightning have jumped out to a 4-0 start, including a victory over crosstown rival CCNY. A 5'8 senior outside hitter for Lehman, Garcia collected 30 kills and 31 digs in wins over USMMA and Ramapo. For the season she is averaging 3.2 kills, 3.1 digs and 0.50 service aces per game.

Rookie of The Week

Mei Kimberly Zhu, Hunter Fr. / OH / Corona, NY
 
As the Hawks said goodbye to several veterans from a year ago they welcomed Zhu to the winning tradition. The 5'7 rookie has already made a difference, collecting 16 kills and 42 digs over the past two matches this week. The Newtown High School graduate also leads the Hawks in total attacks while averaging 2.2 kills and 5.6 digs per game on the season.
