Player of The Week

Vettenranta Erja Vettenranta, CCNY, JR., OH, Jurva, Finland

After leading CCNY to a 2-0 mark in last Monday's CUNY Multi-Match day at CSI, Vettenranta and the team kept rolling to a 4-1 mark. The runner-up for CUNYAC Player of the Year last season, she earned the Most Valuable Player award at the New Jersey City Tournament even though the Lady Beavers finished in third place. In five matches on the week, Vettenranta had 138 kills (8.65 kills per game), 44 digs, 28 blocks, 24 aces, while raising her hitting percentage to .552.

Rookie of The Week

Adriana Miseje, York, Fr., MH, Glen Cove, NY

Miseje, a 5'8" native of Slovakia, was instrumental in York's 1-1 effort in last Monday's CUNY Multi-Match day with 31 kills and 21 digs. Over the weekend, she had 16 kills and 14 digs to pace the Cardinals in a three game win over SUNY Purchase. York finishes up the conference slate with a 7:00 pm tilt at Lehman on Tuesday.
