CUNYAC / Con Edison - Player Of The Week

RICARDO REIMERS • SR • G • HUNTER The senior exploded for 69 points (34.5 ppg.) in Hunter’s two victories over the weekend as the Hawks captured the Johnson State Tournament. The 6’0” Queens Village, NY native, who was named the Tournament MVP, went for 42 points on 15-for-22 shooting in the Hawks 93-81 first-round victory against Maine- Fort Kent and also added 10 rebounds. The Martin Van Buren grad added 27 points (9-for-17 fga) and 10 rebounds in the championship game victory against Bard. The guard finished 24-for-39 (.615) from the floor and was also 5-for-6 (.833) from three-point land.

CUNYAC / Con Edison - Rookie Of The Week

MATT SAUNDERS • FR • G • STATEN ISLAND The freshman guard made an impressive collegiate debut as he averaged 18.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in his first two contests at the Laurel Line Tournament. The 6’0” Yonkers, NY native scored 18 points (6-for-11 fga) in a loss versus Marywood and added 18 points (8-for-14 fga), 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in the victory against Baptist Bible. The graduate of Cardinal Spellman was named to the All-Tournament Team.
