CUNYAC / Con Edison - Player Of The Week

The junior garners Player of the Week honors for the second time in the month of December. The 6'7" center averaged 23.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 6.5 blocks, leading the Yellow Jackets to a pair of victories last week. The Bronx, New York native opened the week with a 25-point, 13 rebound performance in a conference victory against Medgar Evers and added 22 points, seven rebounds, and eight blocks in a win against Rutgers-Camden. The DeWitt Clinton product converted sixty-four percent (16-for-25) of his field goal attempts and added 10 assists and four steals on the week.

The 6'8" freshman played a key role in the Cardinals pair of CUNYAC victories last week. The Brooklyn, New York native averaged 12.5 points and 12.5 rebounds and shot fifty-seven percent (12-for-21) from the floor. The Curtis grad scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the victory against Brooklyn and added 7 points and 10 boards in the win against Medgar Evers. The center is averaging 8.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

2003-04 CUNY-NJAC CHALLENGE

This season the CUNY Athletic Conference and the New Jersey Athletic Conference have teamed up for an in-season challenge, pitting the ten CUNYAC teams versus the ten NJAC teams for both men and women. The matchups were selected by order of finish from last season. The will continue all season long and continue to monitor the results.
