CUNYAC / Con Edison Player Of The Week

The Staten Island, New York native completely dominated the paint, as she averaged an amazing 25 rebounds per game in two conference victories last week. The 5'8" forward opened the week with a career-high 27 caroms in the win versus Medgar Evers last Wednesday. She also added nine points and four steals. The New Dorp product followed with a double-double of 18 points and 23 rebounds in a road win against Hunter, breaking the Hawks 40-game home conference winning streak. The junior is averaging 14.5 points and a league-high 14.8 rebounds on the season.

The talented freshman put together a pair of terrific all-around games in Baruch's two conference victories last week. The 5'8" forward scored 22 points (9-for-13 field goals) grabbed eight rebounds, and came up with three steals in the victory against John Jay on Wednesday. The Astoria, New York native followed that performance with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds in the win against Medgar Evers on Friday. The William C. Bryant product also connected on two of her four three-point field goal attempts against Medgar. She is averaging 11.7 points and 8.4 rebounds on the season.

2003-04 CUNY-NJAC CHALLENGE

This season the CUNY Athletic Conference and the New Jersey Athletic Conference have teamed up for an in-season challenge, pitting the ten CUNYAC teams versus the ten NJAC teams for both men and women. The matchups were selected by order of finish from last season. The will continue all season long and continue to monitor the results.
