Female Track Athlete of The Week

She won the 100 meter dash in 12.46 seconds at the CTC Championships at
DeSales University. It was the third consecutive week that she has won the
gold medal in the event. Her new career best 100m time also qualifies her
for the ECAC Championships next month. In addition, the Staten Island
native placed third in the 200 meters (26.36) and helped the 4x100 relay
(52.61) place fourth. Hunter placed fifth overall at the event.

RAMAPO HS • SPRING VALLEY, NY
At the CTC Championships at DeSales University over the weekend, Williams
broke her own Lehman College record and improved her ECAC Championships
standing with a discus toss of 38.85 meters. The result was good
enough for second place. The junior from Spring Valley, NY also threw the
shot put 11.54 meters (third place), which is the second best mark in CUNYAC
this season.
Male Track Athlete of The Week
MICHAEL BROWN • FR • YORK
TRANSIT TECH HS • QUEENS, NY
In only his first season running for the Cardinals, Brown has already qualified
for ECAC’s with outstanding times of 48.13 in the 400 meters and
1:53.83 time in the 800 meters. He captured the 800 meters (1:56.60) at
the CTC Championships, he also was the runner-up in the 400 meters (48.13).
Male Field Athlete of The Week
DEXTER WILSON • JR • CCNY
TILDEN HS • BROOKLYN, NY
Wilson turned in a personal-best effort and CUNY leading 12.71 meters in
the shot put at the CTC Championships held at DeSales University last weekend.
The junior also recorded a solid 28.98 meter toss in the hammer and
34.56 meter throw in the discus. |
