Female Track Athlete of The Week

The junior placed second in both the 800 and 1,500 meters to highlight York's
effort at the Colgate Women's Games, held last Saturday at Pratt Institute in
Brooklyn. She recorded a terrific early-season time of 2.27.1 in the 800
meters and ran a solid 5.00.0 in the 1,500 meters. The Campus Magnet High
School product, who finished in second place in the 2003 CUNYAC Cross Country
Championships will be heavily counted on by Cardinals' head coach Tom
Pope this season.

The defending 800 meter CUNY indoor champion turned in an outstanding
effort in the Metropolitan Athletics Congress Meet on December 28th at the
168th Street Armory. He clocked a 51.04 in the 400 meters, the fastest time in
CUNY this season. The Brooklyn, New York native also ran a solid time of 22.91
in the 200 meters, the second-best time in the conference this season.
