Player of The Week - MIGUEL JAQUEZ, John Jay So., 6'1, SS, Brooklyn, NY

After winning CUNYAC Player of the Year as a freshman, Jaquez has picked up where he left off last season. Against CSI on Saturday, he hit a threerun homer in the seventh inning to lead the Bloodhounds to victory.

Pitcher of The Week - NICK SECCHINI, Staten Island So., 6'5, P, Staten Island, NY

The reigning CUNYAC Pitcher of the Year is also off to a strong start. In the first game of the John Jay doubleheader Secchini pitched a gem, striking out 11 and giving up only two hits in a seven inning complete game shutout. For the season, the Tottenville HS grad is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA and 16 K's in 12 innings.

A freshman from Columbus High School, Rodriguez has had a hit in each of the Lightning's first four games while manning the hot corner. Over the span he hit .308 while scoring three runs and driving in two, with two walks and one stolen base.
