Player of The Week - Eric Zinke, Staten Island Jr., 5'9, CF, Staten Island, NY


A two-time all-star, Zinke, the Dolphins #2 hitter went 2-5 with two walks yesterday, as CSI a doubleheader from Lehman to take control of the CUNYAC standings. In the nightcap, a 7-4 win, he also hit a triple, scored three runs, had two stolen bases and had two RBI. On the year, the Farrell HS alum is batting .315 with 19 runs in 17 games.



Pitcher of The Week - Nick Secchini, Staten Island So., 6'5, P, Staten Island, NY


For the third time in four weeks, Secchini earns the Pitcher of the Week after throwing a complete game (7 innings), holding Lehman to two runs (both earned), without yielding a walk and striking out eight batters. The Tottenville HS graduate, who was the CUNYAC Pitcher of the Year last season has a 1.42 ERA with 54 K's in 38 innings.



Rookie of The Week - Tristan Cetto, Baruch Fr., 6'2", P, Bellmore, NY

A fresh arm for the Bearcats, Cetto (Mephan High School) was sharp against USMMA yesterday on the mound in a 2-0 loss. From the hill, he gave up only three hits and one walk, and striking out four as both runs were unearned. For the season, the 6'2" lefty has a 1.75 ERA in ten innings of work.
