Player of The Week

CHRIS ABBAS, STATEN ISLAND Sr. / F / Brooklyn, NY

The senior striker is off to a strong start, scoring five goals in Staten Island's two wins against Centenary and Old Westbury. The season opening game against Centenary was also the first win for new Dolphins coach Mark D'Orazio. After three games, Abbas, a Lafayette High School graduate is averaging a CUNYAC high 5.5 points and he's only one tally shy of his entire 2002 total.

Rookie of The Week

AYAZ ADIGUZELLI, BROOKLYN Fr. / MF / Brooklyn, NY

Adiguzelli made a splash in his collegiate debut last week, scoring the game winning goal with one minute left to lift Brooklyn over Yeshiva on a pass from Okenfi Aigbe. A newcomer from Kittatiny High School in Newton, New Jersey, he will try to keep the momentum up when the Bridges face Hunter on Wednesday, as CUNYAC action kicks off.
