Player of The Week

JOSEPH AWADJIE, BROOKLYN Jr. / MF / Staten Island, NY

Awadjie netted the game-winning goal in both of Brooklyn’s victories last week. The junior midfielder originally from Liberia broke a 1-1 tie with a second half goal in the victory against Purchase on Wednesday. He also scored the lone goal in the Bridge’s 1-0 conference victory against City Tech on Saturday. The win kept Brooklyn in the hunt for a spot in the upcoming CUNY Championship. Awadje now has three goals and an assist this season.

Oddo, a sophomore, takes home his first Rookie of the Week honor after coming up big in Staten Island’s 3-2 overtime victory at Hunter with two assists in the contest. Oddo, a native of Brooklyn, NY (Brooklyn Friends), now has two goals and four assists on the season after scoring in the second half of the York game as well. He has also been a big reason why the Dolphins have enjoyed a perfect 6-0 CUNY mark.
