Player of The Week - ALFRED DAOS, Hunter JR. / OH / Long Beach, NY

The 5'9 outside hitter from Long Beach High School had an extraordinary week for the Hawks who went 4-0. With conference wins over Lehman as well as Baruch, Hunter improves to 4-0 in conference action. In the victory over Baruch, Daos collected 13 kills and 12 digs to pace Hunter to a 4 set win. On the week, Daos hit .455 while averaging 3.85 kills and 2.85 digs per game.


Rookie of The Week - EDEM TSAKPOE, Hunter Fr. / OH / Akosombo, Ghana

Tsakpoe, a runner for the Hawks cross country team, also stood out last week. The 6'1 freshman from Akosombo, Ghana averaged 1.54 kills while hitting at a .261 clip. In the road win at Newbury (MA) Tsakpoe had 9 kills and 3 solo blocks to lead the Hawks. He averages 1.32 kills, 0.46 digs and 0.57 blocks on the season.
