Player of The Week - Andre Edwin, Medgar Evers So., OH, Grenada

The 6'3 outside hitter was outstanding this week hitting at a .580 clip as the Cougars went undefeated. In a four set victory over Brooklyn, Edwin had 32 kills, 18 digs and three aces. In a three set match versus York, the sophomore had 27 kills and 13 digs. The Grenada native is currently hitting .377 while averaging 2.65 digs and .950 blocks per game for the season.

Rookie of The Week - William Tekverk, Baruch Fr., OH, Flushing, NY

Receiving the honor for the second straight week, the Bayside High School alum played a major role in the 1-1 week for the Bearcats. In a 3-0 win over York, Tekverk had 13 kills and seven digs while sporting similar numbers in a five set loss to City Tech (13 kills and five digs). For the season, he is hitting at a .258 clip with 1.82 digs and 1.09 blocks per game.
