Ghandi, a native of Long Island's North
Shore, went 2-0 in singles topping her
opponents from Mount St. Vincent (6-3, 6-
2) and St. Joseph's (6-3, 6-1) easily, in
winning her first CUNY honor. In doubles,
the 5'2" graduate of Herricks High School
split her two matches with partner
Danielle Nitafin.

Rookie of The Week
BELINDA CAPE, BROOKLYN
Fr. / #2 / Firbank, Australia
The import from the Land Down Under,
Cape paired with Dana Caputo to provide
the Bridges with an 8-5 doubles victory
over Yeshiva last week. She fell in her
singles debut 6-3, 6-3 at second singles
prior to the doubles win. With the addition
of Cape, Brooklyn hopes to improve on
their second place finish at the CUNYAC
Championships in 2002.
