Player of The Week

LATISHEA PEARSON, BARUCH Fr. / OH / St. Albans, NY

The Francis Lewis High School alum led the Bearcats to a 3-1 record over the weekend at the Russell Sage Tournament, following a sweep of City Tech during the week. In 17 games during the span, she had 72 kills (4.2 per game), and hit at a .255 clip. Moreover, Pearson had 74 digs and 10 aces, as the Bearcats prepare to take on seven-time defending champion Hunter tomorrow night on the road.

Rookie of The Week

YANIZA DELOSSANTOS, LEHMAN Fr. / OPP / Queens, NY

The only freshman in the starting lineup for Lehman coach Junior Garcia, Delos Santos helped the Lightning to a 3-1 week with 41 kills in 13 games as they topped John Jay, Bard and New Jersey City. She also had 15 digs and four aces last week. For the season, the native of Queens leads CUNYAC with a .578 hitting percentage, averaging 3.2 kills and 1.0 digs a game.
