Player of The Week

ERJA VETTENRANTA, CCNY Jr. / OH / Jurva, Finland

Vettenranta takes home her second Player of the Week honor as the 5’7" junior helped lead CCNY to a 2-1 record, averaging 3.00 kills and 5.73 digs per game and also added eight service aces during the stretch. Vettenranta began her run with 14 kills and an amazing 34 digs in a four-game defeat against William Paterson. She rounded out the week with 13 kills and 25 digs in the win against Kean. The native of Jurva, Finland is averaging 3.47 kills and 4.18 digs per game this season.

Rookie of The Week

JACQUELINE PERALTA, CCNY Fr. / OH / Manhattan, NY

The freshman, last week’s CUNY Player of the Week averaged 4.45 kills and 3.64 digs per game in a 2-1 week. The Brandeis graduate opened the week with 18 kills and 19 digs against William Paterson in a losing cause. The 6’0" hitter was unstoppable in the victory against St. Joseph’s (LI), hitting .682 (16 kills). Peralta is averaging 3.67 kills and 3.02 digs per game this season.
