Player of The Week - CLAUDIA CARDOZA, JOHN JAY
So. / SS / Theodore Roosevelt HS / Yonkers, NY


The sophomore put on a show in the season-opening victory against Farmingdale State on Saturday, March 13. The shortstop went a perfect 6-for-6, scored four runs and drove in eight more for the Bloodhounds. The Yonkers, New York native also homered and tripled in the contest. The Roosevelt graduate walked twice and scored a run in the nightcap victory, helping Jay get off to a 3-0 start on the season.

Pitcher of The Week - KATHY MAHER, BARUCH
So. / P / James Madison HS / Brooklyn, NY


The sophomore fired a perfect game in a 20-0 victory against City Tech in a conference matchup on Saturday, March 13. The Brooklyn, New York native was untouchable as she fanned ten of the 15 batters she faced in 5.0 innings of work. The Bearcats hope to continue the momentum as they face three more CUNYAC opponents before the end of the week.


Rookie of The Week - LEIDY NUNEZ, BARUCH

The freshman enjoyed a solid debut in Baruch’s opening day victory against conference rival City Tech on Saturday, March 13. The centerfielder went 2-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs against the Yellow Jackets. The Bronx, New York native added a double and also scored a run for the Bearcats.
