Player of The Week - ROSE TEJADA, BARUCH
So. / C / Murry Bergtraum/ New York, NY


The sophomore hit .438 (7-for-16), scored seven runs, and drove in five for the Bearcats last week. The Manhattan native went 4- for-5 in the doubleheader split with Old Westbury and scored four runs. In the opener, the Bergtraum graduate went 2-for-3 with an RBI and was 2-for-2 (double, triple) in the nightcap. She followed that up with a two-run double against Brooklyn and finished the week by going 2-for-7 with an RBI in the sweep of Lehman.


Pitcher of The Week - KATHY MAHER, BARUCH
So. / P / James Madison HS / Brooklyn, NY

The James Madison product was dominant in two victories against Brooklyn and Lehman last week finishing 2-0 with a 0.58 ERA. The sophomore fired a no-hitter against Brooklyn while fanning eight batters. She was in complete command the whole way, as she failed to allow a free pass in the 5.0 inning game. The Brooklyn, NY native followed that up with a 13-strikeout outing against Lehman and only allowed one run on seven hits and a walk over 7.0 innings of work.


Rookie of The Week - CHRISTINA D’ARPA, STATEN ISLAND
Fr. / 3B / Moore Catholic HS / Staten Island, NY

The third baseman continues to impress this season after enjoying another terrific week. The freshman went 8-for-20 (.400) at the plate and drove in five runs. In the doubleheader against USMMA-Kings Point, the Staten Island, NY native went 5-for-7 with three RBI and a stolen base. She completed the week by going 3-for-7 (2 doubles) with two runs batted in the split with Hunter. The Moore product also started three games on the mound and had a 0.93 ERA and fanned 19 batters in 19.1 innings.
