Player of The Week

ERJA VETTENRANTA, CCNY Sr. / OH / Jurva, Finland

The defending CUNYAC Player of the Year is off to a fast start for the defending conference champions. The Jurva, Finland native averaged 5.2 kills (.265 hitting percentage)and 4.4 digs per game as the Beavers opened the season with a 3-2 record. The outside hitter recorded 21 kills in the season-opening victory against Kean and was tremendous in the victory against Mount Aloysius, hitting a sparkling .348 from the floor. She also added 14 kills and 10 digs in the win versus Newmann.

Rookie of The Week

ERIKA COLLADO, BARUCH Fr. / OH / Newtown / Elmhurst, NY

The freshman made a nice debut for the Bearcats as she averaged 3.89 digs per game. The Elmhurst, NY native recorded 13 digs in the season-opener against U.S. Merchant Marines and followed with 22 digs in the shutout victory over Kean.
