Player of The Week - Maureen McBride, Hunter - So, #2, Ridgefield, CT
For the second straight week, McBride, a native of Ridgefield, Connecticut earns
the nod as she extended her personal singles winning streak to 15 matches, dating
back to last season. In her 3 wins last week over Brooklyn, Mt. St. Mary and Baruch,
Hunter's #2 player eclipsed the Hawks' record of 13 consecutive victories set in 1995.
She split a pair of doubles matches, beating Brooklyn with Marilyn Penaco and falling
to Mt. St. Mary.

Rookie of The Week - Rachel Swygert, Hunter - Fr, #3, Las Vegas, NV
A freshman from the Silver State, Swygert is playing golden tennis for the defending
champions. She moved to 2-0 against CUNY opponents with easy wins at third singles over
Brooklyn (Yolanda Hillocks; 6-2, 6-3) and Baruch (Tania Kozlowska; 10-1). In doubles,
she's teamed with #1 Iris Antonescu to win the two matches as well.
