Player of The Week - Giorgia Penso, CSI - So, #4, Staten Island, NY
A 5'7 transplant from Italy, Penso improved to 5-2 in both singles and doubles
last week with three victories in each. She beat Baruch, CCNY and City Tech in #4
singles and partnered with Dharma Musaccia to win #2 doubles by a combined 26-3
score over the three schools.

Rookie of The Week - Soo Jung Kim, Hunter - Fr, #5, Eureka, CA
A newcomer from the Golden State, Kim won the decisive match in a non-conference
win over Western Connecticut, beating her opponent 6-2, 7-5, to give the Hawks a
5-4 win. On the week, she also topped Karen Smith from CCNY in singles 10-1 and
Kelley Ferguson & Keisha Kydd from City Tech in #3 doubles along with Shirley Vargas.
