Player of The Week - Iris Antonescu, Hunter - Jr, #1, Astoria, NY
A three-year #1 player, Antonescu beat CUNYAC top two singles contenders last week
to give the Hawks the CUNYAC Regular Season title for the second time in three seasons.
First she beat CSI's Liza Dungo, the 2000 CUNYAC #1 champion, 10-6, followed by a win
over John Jay's Warunee Maikoksoong, by the same score.

Rookie of The Week - Dana Caputo, Brooklyn - Fr, #5, Brooklyn, NY
A local product from nearby Murrow High School (which doesn't have varsity sports),
Caputo has stepped into the starting lineup for the Bridges, compiling a 3-0 singles
and 4-1 doubles marks. Last week, she beat Baruch (Mariya Tarassishina, 8-3) and Lehman
(Mariely Vidal, 10-4) for the third place squad. In doubles, she combined with Elizabeth
Mikhly for a pair of 8-2 wins at #3 doubles.
