Female Runner of The Week - Maria Castro, Lehman - Jr., Bronx, NY

Following a third place finish at the CUNY Championships last season, Castro, a 5-5 native of Mexico is starting out the new season at a strong pace. With a 21.20 mark at the NYU Invitational (at VCP), the Columbus HS alumna set a new school record and was the only CUNY finisher in the top 100 of the 286 competitors.

Male Runner of The Week - Khari White - Jr., Jamaica, NY

In the first competition amongst CUNY schools, the Baruch/Brooklyn meet at Van Cortlandt Park, the 2000 CUNYAC runner-up was the only man to break 30-minutes. The 5'9 graduate of Beach Channel HS ran a 29:48, winning the 22-man race by 1:28.
