Robert Coleman, CCNY - President, Senior Colleges
Robert J. Coleman enters his sixth year as the Director of Athletics at City College. During Coleman's tenure at CCNY, his teams have won six CUNY
Tournament Championships, two in Men's Basketball, one each in Men's Soccer, Men's Indoor Track & Field, & Men's and Women's Volleyball. In postseason
addition, three of those teams have received automatic births for the NCAA Division III Tournament, while various other teams have also been represented
in the ECAC postseason Championships. Coleman has also been on numerous committees including NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Committee. He was
the National Chairman of the committee during the 2000-2001 season, and Chairman of the Atlantic region from 1998-2001.
As of this January, he
has been appointed as a member of the NCAA Division III Interpretation and Legislation Committee which continues through January 1, 2008. Prior to
CCNY, he served as Assistant/Associate Athletic Director at Hunter College from 1990 until 1998. A 1987 graduate of St. Leo College, Coleman received
his Bachelor's of Science degree in Sports Management. He earned his Masters of Education in Athletic Administration from Springfield College. The 37-
year-old currently resides in Long Beach, New York with his wife Victoria. |
