Dave Gansell - Assistant Director / Director of Media Relations

Gansell joined the CUNYAC staff this past September after serving as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. While at UMBC, Gansell contributed heavily to the communications' efforts of a 20-sport program that competes at the Division I level. He served as the primary contact for nine Retrievers' teams and helped maintain the athletic web site, produce publications, generate statistics, supervise game staff, and interact with the media and various conference offices. A 1995 graduate of UMBC, Gansell earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies (sports management) and received a minor in journalism.

After earning his degree in the spring of 1995, he worked in the front office of the Baltimore Stallions (Canadian Football League) and then performed a Sports Information internship at the University of Delaware. Gansell has also worked part-time for the Baltimore Ravens as a guest services ambassador and for the Bowie Baysox Minor League Baseball Club as an official scorer. A native of New City, New York, Gansell is single and resides in Manhattan.
