What has been the best part of being on the Swimming team?
I get to meet new people. I have learned many skills such as teamwork, dedication, and responsibility as part if a team. The competition itself is amazing. I get to see different schools plus participate in the sport itself.
What do you wish to accomplish this year?
I want to break my old records. Help the team win the CUNY title. I also just want to have fun.
What is your fondest memory of any season that you have swam?
Competing against Hunter College. Winning the 2000-2001 CUNY Championship MVP award, and winning Brooklyn College Student Athlete of the Month.
What do you think is your best attribute or contribution to the team?
I am a hard worker with determination. I have the ability and patience to teach others the skills to help the team win and the leadership to motivate my teammates.
What would you change about the team?
I wish we could receive scholarships, have meets less frequently to get adequate rest, and more members on the team.
Are you glad to be at Brooklyn College?
Brooklyn College has nice facilities, a great physical education and athletics department. My professors and classmates are friendly and helpful.
Do you find it difficult to play a sport and attending college?
Sometimes - It is hard to balance class work, practice and work schedules. I feel like I don't have time to finish everything I have to do but I somehow do it and I love it.
What other interests do you have other than swimming?
Traveling, teaching, playing other sports like frisbee, handball, volleyball, and learning how to play basketball. I also like reading and learning about other countries and cultures.
What are some of your future goals, in Life?
To be a teacher, earn my P.H.D. in Physical Education. Become a swim coach. Enjoy everything in life.
