ART 101: TINTS, TONES AND SHADES

ART 105: SELFIE PORTRAIT

For the Fall 2020 ART 105 Intro Painting- Unit 4: Selfie Portrait, following a slide lecture of historically relevant artists' self-portraits, students were asked to complete the following, and then paint their own.
ART/CGI 321: STEAMPUNK

For the final assignment, students were asked to create an object with a steampunk theme. Steampunk is a retrofuturistic subgenre of science fiction that combines technology with the aesthetics of the 19th century's steam-powered industrial machinery.
ART 335: THE 12TH CUNY FILM FESTIVAL
Professor Jonathan Ehrenberg and Robert Small
Traditionally students in this course work on a hands-on, semester-long project: the CUNY Film Festival. This past spring, they had to decide if an online only version of the festival would be possible. They rose to the occasion, and translated the entire festival into a digital format, including an awards ceremony featuring acceptance speeches from the winner in ten categories (juried by established professionals in the filmmaking world).

Hot off the press! Drawings by Lehman College Printmakers compiled as a graphic novel about the first 40 days of quarantine in New York City. All proceeds from the sale of this book will go to help Food Banks in New York City. ARH 353/LEH 353: ARTWORK RECREATIONS

For these art history courses, students had the option to recreate an artwork of their choice using themselves, family and materials at home as a way to have some fun and be creative during the quarantine. Results were hilarious and very creative!
