Andrea Honig has taught variety of accounting (including financial accounting, cost accounting) and economic courses. She recently completed and passed all four CPA exams with plan to obtain her licensure soon. Prior to joining Lehman College as a fulltime faculty, she worked in a tax office and conducted research in accounting. Her areas of research interest include behavioral studies in taxation and managerial accounting as well as research into measurement models for corporate social responsibility reporting data. Along with this current research, she is writing a textbook that is aiming to make introduction to accounting more accessible.

Rich's specialty and focus is Real Estate and Partnership taxation and has been practicing for over 15 years. He has extensive experience delivering tax consulting services to REIT and private equity clients as well as assisting in annual and quarterly REIT reviews. Rich has taught various accounting and taxation courses throughout his teaching career. He has a passion for helping students achieve their full potential and delivering career guidance and job interview skills. Prior to his teaching career, Rich was a Senior Manager at a Big4 accounting firm.
He has authored and co-authored various articles. Most recently an article on the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act ("2017 Tax Reform in the United States – A Quantitative Analysis of Corporate Rate Reduction") and an article regarding casualty loss deduction in a post tax reform world ("Narrowing the Casualty Loss Deduction"). Professor Murrell’s professional experience includes working as a Senior Auditor for Deloitte LLP, an international accounting and consulting firm. After leaving Deloitte, he worked for many Fortune 100 companies as well as small to medium sized firms. He has been teaching accounting and other courses at Lehman since 1985. He is a member of the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants. His non-academic interests are travelling, photography and music.

Dr. Rossen Petkov is an Associate Professor in Accounting at Lehman College, City University of New York (CUNY). He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of National and World Economy (Sofia, Bulgaria), M.P.A. from the University of Texas at Austin (Austin, TX) and B.A. in Economics and Statistics from the University of Rochester (Rochester, NY). Dr. Petkov is also licensed as a C.P.A. in New York State and also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also holds a CFE designation from the ACFE. Dr. Petkov’s research interests focus on accounting for internally generated intangible assets, prehistoric accounting, fraud, and tax. He has widely published in many peer-reviewed journals, including Accountancy Business and the Public Interest, International Journal of Digital Accounting Research, Journal of Theoretical Accounting Research, Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting, Journal of Forensic & Investigative Accounting, and Rutgers Business Review. He also serves as a reviewer to multiple peer-reviewed journals. Prior to joining Lehman faculty, Dr. Petkov worked as a senior auditor at KPMG where he was involved in quarter, year-end audits, and SOX engagements for major U.S. and foreign, public, and private companies. His main areas of practical expertise are in oil and gas, service manufacturing and retail. Publications

Sean is an assistant professor at the City University of New York – Lehman College. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance, where he chairs the Accounting Working Group. Sean sits on the Advisory Board of Gilded and is a strategic advisor to the Central Bank Digital Currency Think Tank. He is the immediate past chairperson of the NJCPA's Emerging Technologies Interest Group (#NJCPATech), is the President of the NYSSCPA Manhattan-Bronx Chapter, and is a member of the NJCPA Board of Trustees. Sean also serves on the Board of Governors of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Sean is a widely recognized expert in the areas of blockchain and cryptoassets, especially as they connect to accounting and financial services. His thought leadership is sought after by academic and industry organizations, and includes his efforts to develop and teach the first ever courses focusing on blockchain and crypto at Lehman College beginning in 2021.
His award-winning research has been recognized and honored both in the United States and internationally, and he is a frequent guest on media outlets discussing blockchain, cryptoassets, and accounting technologies. Sean has published multiple books, and dozens of academic and practitioner articles connected to the topics of blockchain, cryptoassets, and financial services including books with Springer, Emerald, and Routledge publishing houses. Sean also has a column with Forbes, publishing a weekly column discussing crypto and blockchain issues as they connect to accounting, policymaking, and financial reporting.
He has served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER), and has a book forthcoming with the Institute, due for publication in 2022. Sean has developed and presented courses on Artificial Intelligence, Cryptoassets, and Blockchain for both the AICPA and IMA. He has also delivered presentations and training sessions for the PCAOB, the FDIC, the AICPA, multiple state accounting societies, and guest lectures at nearly 20 colleges and universities.
Sean has also been named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting, and has been named a past winner of the NJCPA Ovation Award for Innovation. He has also been named a 40 under 40 in the accounting profession from 2017-2021 by CPA Practice Advisor and the NYSSCPA in 2021. Sean was named on the NJBIZ Power 50 in Accounting in 2021. He was also awarded the Outstanding Young CPA of the Year Award by the AICPA in 2022. Prior
to his pivot to academia and research Sean was employed as a CPA and held roles of progressive responsibility at multiple organizations in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Before embarking on a career in accounting, Prof. Tauber attended graduate school at Manhattan School of Music. She worked as a professional free-lance flutist and flute teacher in the NY Metropolitan area, before becoming a member of the Shreveport Symphony. Prof. Tauber continued her education at LSU in accounting. She has worked in public accounting, at Superior Oil (Mobil Oil), and Tenneco (in internal auditing). While working in Houston, Prof. Tauber became a CPA in Texas. Prof. Tauber has been teaching in CUNY since 1982. Prof. Tauber is the Director of the M.S. program in Accounting at Lehman College.

Dr. Stephen Yu’s research focuses on financial reporting quality and initial public offering. His teaching interests are financial accounting and managerial accounting. He has been a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) since 2018. He has published his research work in the European Journal of Finance, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Asian Review of Accounting, the CPA Journal, etc. Dr. Yu is an American Accounting Association (AAA) member and Institute of Management Accountant (IMA) member. Dr. Yu holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Memphis, TN.
