Opportunities for Students

Lehman School of Business Partnership with Ariva’s VITA Tax Volunteer Program:

We are happy to announce the Department of Accounting at Lehman’s School of Business has formed a partnership with Ariva’s VITA Tax Volunteer Program to provide our students with the opportunity to participate in the IRS Vita tax program. In this program, you will receive free training to provide free tax help for low-to-moderate income families who need assistance preparing their tax returns. As a volunteer, you will join the thousands of others who each year prepare millions of tax returns at thousands of tax sites nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain real life tax experience and help individuals in preparing their taxes.

Ariva has several openings for the program, starting now, with few training days to fit your schedule. For more information, see the Flyer.

For more information on applying to this program, please go to https://ariva.org/become-a-volunteer/ or hover over the QR Code in the flyer. Once you do so Gregory Blackmon will reach out to you to answer any questions and set up a 15 min information session. Make sure you inform Greg you are a Lehman student.
