Continuing Education Certificate Programs

Patient Care Technician

Clinical content courses are held partially in-person.

Patient Care Technicians or Patient Care Assoicates provide more direct care to patients, including drawing blood and recording EKGs, than Certified Nursing Aides (CNAs). As a result, CNAs, who become Certified PCTs, have more job opportunities and earn more. PCTs can work in hospitals, doctor’s offices, and many other settings.

Pay Average in NYC is $22.48 per hour ($60,148)

78% of employers require or encourage a certificate for PCT.

After completing the program students must take the certification exam from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and become a Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT). For more information about certification exam dates and fees please click here. NHA exams fees are not included in course tuition.

Program certification: You must complete all required courses listed with a grade of C or better to earn a Lehman Certificate. To request your Lehman Certificate, please email with “Certificate Request” as the subject line.
