Clinical Practice & Partnerships
Offering leadership and support, the Office of Clinical Practice & Partnerships (CPP) responds to the professional development needs of our students, our alumni, and the educators in the communities we serve. Our partners include more than 200 schools and organizations in and around New York City. With the support of these institutions, most of which are public schools located in the Bronx, students in the School of Education receive the clinical practical experience they need (fieldwork and student teaching placement) in order to become effective, reflective educators. In return, the School provides the educators at these institutions with opportunities for professional growth. These opportunities have included tuition waivers, training sessions with and for Lehman faculty, CPP conferences, and a candidate support provider workshop presented by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards.
